Our team consists of professionals in medicine, nursing, psychology, biology, pharmacy, epidemiology, and nutrition, all working towards a common goal: improving the health and well-being of the population through applied research.<br \/>\nWe specialize in the design, development, and evaluation of innovative interventions in public health and primary care, with a particular focus on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The<strong> prevention and promotion of mental health<\/strong>, both in primary care and in the educational (community) setting.<\/li>\n<li>The<strong> prevention and management of chronic diseases<\/strong>, such as type 2 diabetes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Patient safety<\/strong>, incorporating the voice of healthcare system users.<\/li>\n<li>The use of <strong>digital health tools<\/strong> that facilitate self-care and improve healthcare delivery.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We are committed to rigorous yet accessible, evidence-based science aimed at generating real impact in society. Our research lines are directly connected to the needs of healthcare professionals, public managers, and the community.<br \/>\nEVISAP is part of excellence networks such as <strong>CIBERESP<\/strong> and <strong>RICAPPS<\/strong>, and actively collaborates with leading organizations such as <strong>Cochrane Iberoam\u00e9rica<\/strong>, <strong>EFSA<\/strong>, <strong>EAACI<\/strong>, and the<strong> World Health Organization<\/strong>. We also lead the <strong>Cochrane Balearic Islands group<\/strong>, promoting the production and use of systematic reviews to support more informed health decision-making.<br \/>\nSince 2019, we have published more than 60 scientific articles, developed tools such as DiabeText and SinergiAPS, and coordinated studies in over 100 health centers across Spain. text_size=&#8221;h4&#8243; text_weight=&#8221;300&#8243; text_height=&#8221;fontheight-357766&#8243; text_space=&#8221;fontspace-781688&#8243; uncode_shortcode_id=&#8221;178810&#8243;]The Health Research Institute of the Balearic Islands (IdISBa) was created on December 23, 2013.[\/vc_custom_heading][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=&#8221;874255&#8243;]<strong>It is composed of the Son Espases University Hospital, the Primary Care sector of Mallorca, the University Institute of Health Sciences Research (IUNICS), the Son Ll\u00e0tzer Hospital, and the Blood and Tissue Bank Foundation of the Balearic Islands.<\/strong> All of them contribute human capital, which allows increasing the critical research mass and fostering collaborations for the development of research projects between services and professionals in the healthcare sector. <strong>IdISBa has been awarded the &#8216;HR Excellence in Research&#8217; recognition by the European Commission, certifying it as a research center committed to the continuous improvement of its human resources policies<\/strong>; an international provider of scientific work in an environment conducive and stimulating for the development of a research career, in accordance with the principles of &#8220;Charter &amp; Code&#8221; (European Charter for Researchers and Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers), adopted by the EU in 2005.<\/p>\n<p><strong>IdISBa is committed to excellence in research and the promotion of technology and knowledge transfer to healthcare services and industries.<\/strong> Furthermore, it asserts that these goals cannot be achieved without the promotion and attraction of exceptional scientific talent. Over the past five years, we have supervised more than ten theses, all with excellent outcomes.<br \/>\nAdditionally, through agreements with both UIB and other universities, we supervise master\u2019s theses, as well as final undergraduate projects and training internships. To achieve this, we work closely with individuals\u2014both healthy and those with various health conditions\u2014who represent the groups we aim to help.<br \/>\nThere are several ways you can participate in our research:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Participating as a study subject.<\/strong> This includes clinical trials, surveys, and focus groups, among others. All our studies are approved by the Primary Care Research Committee and the Ethics Committee of the Balearic Islands, ensuring they adhere to the highest ethical and safety standards.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Collaborating in workshops and outreach events.<\/strong> These events are designed to share the results of our research with society, encouraging discussion and knowledge exchange. We participate in initiatives such as the European Researchers\u2019 Night, Science Day, and Women and Science Day, among others.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Participating as a non-scientific collaborator.<\/strong> At EVISAP, we work alongside community members in designing, conducting, and disseminating our studies.
